Suzy Toronto's Diva's of the Deep
How it all began.
I picked up the phone one day, and a voice on the other end asked, "Do you want to go to Hawaii ...tomorrow?” Calmly and non-pulsed I said, “Sure...who is this?”
Twenty-four hours later I was floating in the crystal-clear waters of Waikiki Beach with the most wild, wacky, spur-of-the-moment, knock-you-off-balance woman I know...my friend, Launi Schneberger.
Launi finds humor in absolutely everything. From the tragedies in her life to the unexpected detours, she approaches every situation with an inside-out, upside-down perspective. In short, Launi makes me laugh.
Since that very first rendezvous, Launi and I continue to sneak off on these spur-of-the-moment tropical vacations far too often. We spend the balmy days solving the mysteries of the deep, setting the course of our uncharted future, and laughing to the point of sheer exhaustion.
The Divas of the Deep were born of these fun-filled, girly-girl trips, brimming with laughter, joy, and more that a few handfuls of sand in our bottoms.
As you browse through these pages, kick your shoes off, turn on some tropical tunes, and let the tingle of the sacred sisterhood bubble up around you.

Loving Life
If there’s anything half-as-fun as living,
I want to know what it is.
“Cause I love life!
Whether swimming through uncharted waters,
Facing life-altering challenges,
Or setting a course to new destinations,
I get a kick out of the journey itself.
Every turn offers new discoveries,
And magnificent opportunities
Bubble up around me.
The trick is to look through the
Ambient murky water
And catch a glimpse of the
Spectacular vistas on the horizon.
Once you break out, you’ll find yourself
In the magical, mystical,
Uncharted territory called “Possibility.”
And nothing will ever be the same again.

Love the Fin You're In
You’ve always been told you were special...
Not like every other fish in the sea.
But its not always easy to accept.
Sometime you just want to fit in
And feel like the rest of the
Fish in the school.
But that’s not the way life is.
Everyone has their own look,...
Their own beauty...
Their own place in the world.
(Heaven forbid we should
All look like a clam
And live our lives in a shell)
It all boils down to
A ccepting the skin we’re in,
Even if our lot is to be covered in scales.
Because after all,
Beauty is only ‘fin’ deep.
